Lviv observes day of remembrance amid various incidents including a fatal fire and an arrest

Lviv held a day of remembrance for 705 children killed in the war on June 4. The city also saw a fatal house fire, a child hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning, and a surgeon arrested on bribery charges.
On June 4, Lviv held a ceremony at Angels' Square to commemorate 705 children who have died due to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. Concurrently, the region experienced several other incidents. A 57-year-old man died in a house fire in the village of Blyshchyvody, located in the Lviv district. Separately, a two-year-old child was hospitalized in Lviv overnight after suffering carbon monoxide poisoning, and is reported to be in moderate condition. Furthermore, authorities in Lviv detained a surgeon on suspicion of accepting a bribe to produce medical documentation for a conscript.
