The International Skating Union (ISU) has permitted Russian and Belarusian athletes to return to international competitions in figure skating, speed skating, and short track. The decision, announced on June 30, allows these athletes and support personnel to compete under a neutral status. This means they are prohibited from displaying national flags, wearing national uniforms, or using national anthems during events. The ISU's statement clarified that participation is open for both individual and team events. However, athletes and support staff who have actively endorsed the conflict or are affiliated with military or security agencies will remain excluded from competition.
