Israel rejects Iran's ceasefire offer, warns of further action amid Lebanon strikes

Following recent reciprocal attacks, Iran proposed a conditional cessation of its strikes, contingent on Israel halting operations in southern Lebanon. Israel rejected these terms, with its Defense Minister asserting the country "will continue to act" against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Further escalating tensions, the Israeli army chief of staff declared readiness "to return and deal a new heavy blow to Iran." On Monday, Israeli military actions in southern Lebanon reportedly caused 14 fatalities. Among these, at least eight people died and 32 were injured in the city of Tyre, according to Lebanese civil defense. These events unfold amidst persistent regional tensions.
