Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan of the International Criminal Court has been suspended pending an investigation into harassment allegations, a decision his legal team has deemed unlawful. Meanwhile, Ukraine recently repatriated 186 citizens from Russian captivity, comprising 185 military personnel and one civilian. A human rights expert emphasized the critical need to prioritize civilian prisoner exchanges as a precondition for future negotiations, given estimates of 20,000 civilians held. Separately, allegations persist regarding Rosatom employees' involvement in the occupation of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, following a reported Russian drone attack on a nuclear waste storage facility in the Chornobyl zone on June 7, 2026. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces conducted 884 attacks on 46 settlements, resulting in two fatalities and 38 injuries.
