IAEA reports shelling near ZNPP as Ukraine commemorates child victims

On June 4, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported "massive shelling" near the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), specifically targeting the adjacent Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant (TPP). The IAEA noted this could endanger the ZNPP's power supply. Separately, Ukrainian reports indicated that at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed since February 2022, with 2,548 injured and 2,318 missing. Commemorative events, "Voices of Children," were held in Domanivka and Kropyvnytskyi to honor these child victims. Additionally, Russian forces shelled Komyshany in the Kherson region, seriously injuring a 55-year-old woman.
