French Rafale destroys drone over Latvia; Bastille Day parade to honor Ukraine

A French Rafale fighter jet recently destroyed a drone over Latvian airspace, operating within the framework of a NATO air policing mission. The Latvian armed forces and Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident. Separately, France announced that its upcoming Bastille Day military parade on July 14 will honor Ukraine, which is in its fifth year of conflict with Russia. The parade, themed "Europe's strategic awakening," will feature French forces alongside several European allies.
