Deadly wildfire burns in northern Greece, forcing evacuations

An uncontrolled wildfire is currently burning in northern Greece, leading to one fatality and the evacuation of a nearby village. The body of a man was discovered in a charred area close to Liti, approximately 15km north-west of Thessaloniki. Additionally, a woman sustained burn injuries to her hands while reportedly attempting to extinguish the flames. More than 100 firefighters are actively engaged in efforts to contain the blaze. Residents from the affected village were forced to evacuate as the fire continued to spread.
